A “Scratchy” Problem
Here is a cool video posing a specific problem in an animation created in “Scratch”. The video outlines a few different ways kids can approach tackling the problem and ways to use it in a learning context, especially for Math and Science.

For those not familiar with “Scratch”, check out this earlier post on SmartBean. It is, indeed, one of the better ways to introduce kids to programming and more importantly, to be creative and bring their imagination to life through easy-to-create computer programs. The programming interface/tool is available as a free download at the “Scratch” site.
