Scratch Day is a worldwide network of gatherings, where people will come together to meet other Scratchers, share projects and experiences, and learn more about Scratch. This year it will be celebrated worldwide on 16 May 2009. To find a location near you, check this map. “Scratch” will be also described and demonstrated to people for the first time.
Scratch already has a worldwide following. Read this story of how elementary school kids in Bangalore, India, are using Scratch.

We at SmartBean are huge fans of Scratch, not just as a great tool to introduce kids to programming, but also for all the fun, creative things kids can do with it. We’d be very happy to hear you share your kids’ experiences with Scratch on Scratch Day, or any other day, for that matter. Read our earlier posts on Scratch here and here.
