Learning to Read at Starfall
Starfall is a wonderful site where children will have fun learning to read. A hit with homeschoolers, this site is interactive and attractive, and the colorful graphics makes it very appealing to young children. It is also very easy to navigate, even for young children.
Starfall focuses on letter/sound recognition, word decoding as well as reading comprehension along with phonics games and some wonderful online stories that children can read along. It has some fun cartoon characters featured in the stories and other activities. Even though this is geared towards K-1 group, gifted children as young as 2 and 3yrs old, depending on their interests, and personalities will definitely enjoy this program.
